I can't lie, my reading capacity has dwindled to almost nothing over the years and I haven't read a Zoe book since you showed me the rough draft of the first novel years ago, although I'm pretty sure I bought the digital three book set of the existing novels. I'm in the process of trying to jumpstart my reading engines, (at least in part because I know reading is where my passion from writing came from and probably explains why my impetus to write has also waned in recent years - can't write from an empty inkwell and all that) and I'm hoping by the time I've strengthened those muscles again I'll be able to embrace your work, old and new, with the vigor it deserves.

I completely understand. I only started reading again lately, because I started to review books for Reedsy on a whim. Now if I could just get writing again!

I'm currently slogging through a combined pair of novellas titled A Lush and Seething Hell...and I say slogging not because it's not good, but rather because I struggle to focus even on good writing these days.

The last book I positively burned through was Cherie Priest's Grave Reservations, mostly I think because it was written intentionally as a quick read. I'm hoping to get the second one soon, or maybe see if it's available at my library, but I feel like that's the kind of book I need to get my love of reading back.

These days, all I typically do is play Skyrim over and over and watch Critical Role to pass the time because somehow everything else feels to unproductive to indulge in.
